Randeep Hooda, Neetu Chandra and Paresh Rawal were recently seen dressed in rustic garb in Bhopal. They are currently shooting for their forthcoming comedy, Kushar Prasad Ka Bhoot. Neetu was decked up as the village belle and Randeep as the village goon, patiently waiting for the bhoot, played by Paresh Rawal, to behave himself. Randeep, looking relaxed in a colourful shirt, seemed different from his characters so far. He said, “I play an overgrown child who wants to be chief of the village. The film is quite weird. It’s not your regular run-of-the-mill, slapstick comedy.” As for Paresh, he too vouches for the sheer entertainment value of the film. “People will love it,” says the veteran.
While the stars threw no starry tantrums on the sets, they were quite hesitant to allow the media on the sets while shooting was on. According to Randeep, “Media is called so audiences are made aware of the film. But, if you show the entire movie to them, there is no curiosity left.”
The strapping dude has had quite a few films to his credit. Unfortunately, he was more in the limelight for his relationship with ex-Miss Universe Sushmita Sen than his roles. Ask him to comment on that and he says nonchalantly, “It’s not just the case with me. Everyone here faces this problem. People watch an actor in the cinema and, once out, enjoy whatever little information they get like two-minute noodles.”
